How the hell did that happen?
Ten minutes ago I held her hand and took her to school for the first time, off she went to Flora Stevenson Primary in Edinburgh. She had her beautiful long dark hair in a school hair band, a proper leather schoolbag and a blazer. She had a navy pinafore, a school cardigan and a shirt and tie. In the cloakroom she changed out of her black leather Start-rite Mary Janes and into black plimsoles and added a navyblue and white checked smock over her uniform to keep it neat.
Today she left in skinny jeans and a Jack Wills t shirt, the long hair still there and with a hairclip shaped like a button. Converse on her feet, the Mary Janes still beloved but much higher of heel and saved for nights out. She has a pen in her back pocket ready to sit the penultimate of her A levels. Please send all positive vibes today for her and on Friday for her last ever school exam and because of that, her last day at school.
How strange does that feel?

Or eldest girl has just finished AS's and as soon as she returns from holiday starts A2 work. Target A* in three sciences.....!
It's going to a hell of a year!
It certainly doesn't seem so long since I first met that determined little girl in pigtails.
Nothing but positive vibes from me x
Sending humongous amounts of spiffingly strong vibes her way and yours!
That is strange and it is always amazing when all of a sudden they are grown!!! I swear! There is some kind of time warp!!
Good luck to her!!
Hugs
SueAnn
Lots of positive vibes from me! It does go so, so quickly. And a big, huge hug for her mummy too, cos it's a bit of a *gulp* moment for you..xx
I know what you mean - my eldest is just starting the first of her A2s, she doesn't finish till 1 July. But I still see the sweet little 4 year old with the mop of tight blonde curls that I couldn't get a comb through. I don't understand how it happened either.
Wishing yours all the very best of luck.
It's a wierd feeling..I remember it well.
Wishing her the very best of luck xx
Vibes sent. xxx
Good luck EBD...and chin up Auntiegwen. Lots of 'good luck' vibes being sent your way. ps. I always loved them having their start rites...my mum says 'have a good bed and a good pair of shoes..if you are not in one you're in the other' wise words...x
Best of luck vibes from my end of Britain :O)
will send a positive thought during meditation tonight - all the way from sunny Portugal

my baby girl is now 22 and got married this year! no idea at all what happened x
Yep - where do the years go - scary! x
yes, Im having trouble with all of this stuff - exams are constantly popping up unexpectedly as far as I'm concerned - only teenage boy knows what's going on. but I think the worst is yet to come, the day they pass their driving test - I am definitely not ready for that one!
I'll be writing a post like this next year and I just can't believe how the years have flown. You've obviously done a fab job with your eldest and now she is a Beautiful Young Woman xx
yeah, i blinked too, and my baby's almost 21!!!
The scary thing is, I know I'm going to be writing that post in what seems like five minutes!
Hope she did well and enjoys her success!
