- When I started this blog in 2007 I was a single parent with 3 children aged 14, 11 and 10. Now in 2016, every one of those children has grown up and left home. I now live with my lovely best friend, my second and last husband and fellow blogger Mr Adventures in Reality and part of the time with the boy wonder, the one he made earlier. We try and outwit the offspring, do the house up and travel as much as we can.

Nothing will go wrong but expect dead plants, a mountain of washing and no clean plates when you get home.

Well nothing...except the party that they will throw with 150 of their closest friends. Beer and Liquor and who knows what else...loud music...the police for disturbing the peace warnings. Sigh! Oh nothing at all!

You still wash things at 60 and 90? Although to be truthful I do leave things like this for Mrs Troy to take care of, I do know that we get low temperature washing liquids and usually use 30 or 40 temperature.
I'm amazed that you had to explain how to use the washing machine! My mother taught us early and by the time we got to high school she let us know that if we wanted to wear clean clothes then we had to wash them ourselves! I fully plan on implementing that with my two girls once they are old enough to see over the top of the machine!

as I am back in the fray and happily catching up on so many missed posts...you make me laugh out loud often...thought I;d just say hi from my new space...
away from judging eyes and ears, I am keeping my profile low...and just being me from now on...
