Eleven reasons to be extremely grateful

I have the 3 best children in the world, bar your own of course.

I am loved, boy am I loved. That's incredibly lucky.

I have amazing friends.

I am disgustingly healthy.

I have never known real hardship in my life.

I have freedom of choice (well, if I run it past the children first.)

I am not completely insolvent, more skint in style, well, not real style because I'm a bit peasanty.

I am generally quite happy and with the luxury of a blog, when I'm not, I do a rantie auntie and you lovely people all pop by and cheer me up.

I have a permanent job now, Glory be to God in the highest, it pays a lot more money than before, the colleagues I've met have gone out of their way to be helpful and I love my new boss. I keep thinking of her like she's my friend, because she's lovely. I am extremely grateful for my job.

The Beautiful Parents are only staying for 6 days and not 14, c'mon gimme a break, I love them but 14 days is a looooong time.

I am alive.

What a beautiful list! And right before Thanksgiving (U.S.) Thanks for the reminder - I really needed it before the madness sets in.

Gigi - I will be thinking of you and wrapping you up in the biggest hug x

Mud - oh yes, I do love a good rantie auntie myself, very cathartic :)

NB - as I am extremely and madly busy this week and I stupidly set myself this target of 11 posts of 11things for the 11th month I spent most of last evening finishing my eleven homework. I bet no one would have noticed or cared if I hadn't finished it. It was stupid, it was meant to be 10 posts of 10 things for the 10th month of the 10th year, yes I am aware how mental thst sounds. Anyhoo, last night I was writing and setting and I must have inadvertantly posted one of them. Tardy in the extreme, mea culpa, I'm thinking I will change the blog title to that

S - and I didn't mention that ???? or wine???? or gin???? or cake??? oh I'll have to lie down now, well actually I have to leave now to go to another meeting in a posh hotel !!!! I get overgiddy with that kind of malarkey

You deserve eleventy million wonderful things, but your own eleven is just fab.

Glad all going well, especially with the new job. And yes my kids also put interesting boundaries on my choices (they also provide good excuses, like I can't possibly bag pack for you tonight as eldest sick so no-one to mind others) xx
