Happy Birthday to the boy I love

Today my beautiful son is 15. This has been a year of firsts for him. He started high school (he's at a 14-19 college, we have a 3 school system in this county), he has had his first spots, his first exams (when he remembered to go) he even has a GCSE today, he's most disgruntled about my bad family planning and also his first girlfriend, it's not a secret we all read about it on the book of face.

I'm very proud to have made him, he's extremely kind, screamingly funny, useful at getting things down from a high shelf and I have it on very good authority, he's a hot boy.

It's amazing the difference a year makes, in the post I wrote last year for his birthday, he wasn't that much taller than me, see HERE and this year he towers above me.

He is now and always will be mo chridhe, my heart.

Happy birthday to your son = isn't it all scary? How fast they're growing? Only yesterday was school and pram pushing and now my son is bloody driving....
terrifying. We really need to sort that gin out Lx

Happy birthday to Jack?

He's a fine looking lad, but you might have to stop referring to him as beautiful, at least in public!

We have a three tier system here in Darkest Northumberland which seems to work very well but which predictably, the Count Council is desperate to do away with...

Happy birthday to him. (How do you pronounce "mo chridhe". I want to steal it, and smother my wee ones in "mo chridhe"s)

Madame - he would indeed have enjoyed jelly and ice cream

Lulu - I can't cope with the thought of driving, gin I can always manage :) x

Jon - yep, he is called Jack, the T shirt comes from a shop called Jack Wills and I've bought him several, so he doesn't forget who he is ! and as for changing things when they work well, isn't that the law now?

NB - he never did shag that chalet maid, that was just projection, my dear

Gigi - pray tell your secret I've aged loads :)

Sue - it's so depressing to be the smallest and the heaviest, I can't tell you

Diney - true, I did love your sons photos though, all really gorgeous

Karen - cheers

Lolly - ta hen, did you enjoy Hampden?

Shirley - why thank you, I did all the work and what did I get???? no s a quips of piles please xx

Suzanne - thank you xx

Mrs Y - I always think I like the baby stage the most but I must say the teenage one isn't killing me as much as I thought it could

SueAnn - my mum says grandchildren are the best, I'm so pleased your son has such a lot for you to enjoy xx

Ayak - aawh thank you that's so sweet of you

Kitty - I didn't ever think I could either but it draws up on you gradually, promise

Lesley- it's pronounced mo cree, the ex mr auntiegwen's gran was from Benbecula in the Outer Hebrides and had the most beautiful Gaelic sayings and an accent you'd never tire of, she used to say it

LFBS - or as I say most often "would you look at the cut of him" xx
