The moral of the story is...

Once upon a time there was a woman who fell in love. The man she loved shared the same birthday as she did. She felt this gave them a special bond. The woman fell out of love with the man and they parted but she was still grateful for the time they had shared together and wished him no harm.

On the shared birthday the woman sent a very carefully worded and thoughtful email to the man. He replied from his work email address...

"Thanks, hope you had a good one too...K" and underneath was his name and job title.

Mr Ex Boyfriend
Communications Manager, Europe.

The woman laughed for quite a long time and wondered when he would realise he didn't quite have the appropriate skill set for that particular role.

The End

Love the irony. Love the pic of your kids! They really do help us get out of bed in the mornings, don't they? I hope you had a better than average birthday, love.

there was the very funny ad a while ago for I don't know what but it showed the girl spending hours choosing a valentines card and equally long writing a crafted message...the boyfriend grabbed whatever he could at the local garage. She was delighted (and in love)...he barely registered. Is it a Venus/Mars thing?

How any man becomes a communications manager is beyond me... Aren't they all incapable of talking about anything with passion, apart from football?
I am sure there are some exceptions to the rule out there somewhere, but they are probably shacked up with someone called Ian or John...

ACTTF - maybe football and cars ? ok, maybe I am pushing it
